a.k.a. evaluative (event)
an event in which an evaluative judgment is made about the truth of the proposition expressed in its complement. Evaluative events may assume different epistemic stances toward the proposition expressed in their complement. Commentative events assume a positive epistemic stance; hoping and fearing events assume a neutral epistemic stance; and wishing events assume a negative epistemic stance. (Section 18.2.2)
